We are recruiting for a Facility Services Cleaner (Casual) position to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality results. This is a critical position that performs an array of custodial and cleaning services at various sites, facilities, offices and buildings to ensure cleanliness and disinfection for all occupants.

This position is scheduled to work a variety of hours per week with required availability from 3 pm – 10 pm during the week and 7 am – 11 pm during the weekends. Some flexibility may be considered.

As a Facility Services Cleaner, you will:

Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean and tidy areas, including washing of indoor windows and glass surfaces, following a pre-scheduled cleaning schedule; review and make recommendations to cleaning schedule from time to time or as improvements are identified.
Clean and disinfect washrooms.
Appropriately dispose of refuse and recycling/composting materials; ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas, water/care for plants and perform minor laundering of cleaning supplies.
Operate cleaning machines and equipment in order to carry out custodial tasks.
Report non-emergent building deficiencies to the Facilities Service Inbox, and/or call in any observed deficiencies that need immediate repair, to the on-call operator.
Ensure that accessed buildings are secured and/or alarmed when entering/exiting.
Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a cleaning environment
Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, use of cleaning products, and cleaning best practices 

Preferred: 
Experience in a commercial cleaning environment 

Skills and Abilities

Required: 
Physically able to perform required duties
Self-motivated and ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to understand and carry out instructions and perform manual tasks
Good working knowledge of MS Office suite
Excellent customer service
Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize work
Adaptable to changing work priorities
Attention to detail 

Preferred: 
Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in performing routine maintenance

Certifications, Licenses and/or Designations

Required: 
Ability to obtain RCMP Advance Reliability Security Clearance
Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
Clean Criminal Record Check
Driver's Abstract

Preferred:
WHMIS
Fire Extinguisher
Standard First Aid and CPR
