Junior Legal Counsel

We are looking for a highly qualified Junior Legal Counsel to
oversee the legal aspects of our business. The main responsibility will be to
safeguard our reputation by guaranteeing that the company strictly follows law
guidelines and give legal advice to management about all relevant issues. The
successful candidate will effectively ensure legal conformity and minimize
probability of exposure.

Responsible for:

  • Lead the preparation and presentation of the bi-yearly
    sales meetings Supporting operational teams with legal advice on commercial
    contracts, including drafting, reviewing and advising on Agent agreements,
    Distribution agreements, Employee Contracts, Supplier Agreements, IT
    Agreements, etc.

  • Identifying, monitoring and managing legal risks
    affecting the group’s businesses and advising commercial colleagues and
    executive team on the impact of those risks and measures to mitigate them

  • Drafting, revising, modifying, negotiating contracts
    and strengthening legal agreements/documents to ensure legal rights of the
    Company are protected

  • Liaison with worldwide external legal Counsel on all
    matters including but not limited to corporate and or employment related

  • Ensure compliance with all legal reporting and
    company secretarial requirements

  • Legal support in a range of other legal matters
    including human resource issues, opening of new entities, data protection and

  • Monitor and maintain current up-to-date knowledge of
    legislative changes that could affect the company

  • Prepare and authorize legal documents and litigation

  • Undertake all activities in accordance with
    applicable group policies and procedures to ensure that the interests of the
    Group and individual corporate entities are protected at all times

  • Put in place a system to manage and maintain all
    contracts and other legal documents

  • Participating in corporate project work and providing
    as hoc company/commercial legal advice

  • Work Closely with Senior Management Team, Human
    Resources, Finance and Operational teams


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Law

  • Expertise in corporate law is required; expertise in
    employment law is an asset

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience
    gained from a law firm and / or in-house environment

  • Expertise in corporate law is required; expertise in
    employment law is an asset

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in
    both English and French
    Able to manage multiple demands and manage
    conflicting priorities while respecting tight deadlines;

  • Strong work ethic, well organized and great attention
    to detail

  • Strong negotiating, problem solving and
    decision-making skills

  • Sound judgment, practical attitude and tactful
