Overview - Groundskeeper I

 

This position is available to new recruits who possess no golf maintenance specific skills. They will report to the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Foreman, Responsibilities will include a variety of manual labour task which will require a certain level of fitness for success,

 

Requirements

 

• Demonstrate a tolerance to work in the natural variations of inclement weather
• Perform tasks while maintaining genuine consideration of both clients using the facility, and fellow employees
• Interpret and complete assigned duties in a safe, cooperative and productive manner using both the tools and equipment that they have been trained for

 

Job Profile

• Possess the eagerness and willingness to be trained to become effective members of the turf management team.
• Ensure the day to day tasks assigned to them are completed to the standard set before them  

Overview - Groundskeeper II

 

This position is available to new recruits who possess a limited amount of golf maintenance specific skills applicable to our facility. These skills should be, but are not limited to, general knowledge of use and deployment of golf course maintenance equipment. They will report to the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Foreman. Responsibilities will include a variety of manual labour tasks which will require a certain level of fitness for success.

 

Requirements

• Demonstrate a tolerance to work in the natural variations of inclement weather
• Perform tasks while maintaining genuine consideration of both clients using the facility, and fellow employees
• Interpret and complete assigned duties in a safe, cooperative and productive manner using both the tools and equipment that they have been trained for
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical grass mowing and trimming of different turf type surfaces (rough, fairway, tee, green, etc.,) and their respective heights of cut
• Maintenance of sand traps
• Performing specific landscaping tasks requiring skills of raking, shoveling, sweeping, weeding, debris removal, irrigation and drainage
• Correct operation of industry specific tools, equipment and vehicles

Overview - Groundskeeper III
 

This position is available to new recruits who possess golf maintenance specific skills applicable to our facility. These skills should be able to be performed in regular day to day duties with little to no instruction. They will report to the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Foreman,

Responsibilities will include a variety of manual labour tasks which will require a certain level of fitness for success. They are familiar with most of our operation strategies, and the use of the equipment to achieve this.

 

Requirements

• Highly motivated, confident and concerned with production and performance
• Sets up the course for both regular and special event play
• Capable of assisting in the cultural practices program, irrigation repairs, and other special projects
• Ensures the proper cane and procedures for day to day maintenance of machines and vehicles they use
• Correct operation of industry specific tools, equipment and vehicles  

 

Job Profile

• Operates most of the moving equipment productively, and is aware when its performance has been compromised
• Knowledge of which machines to use for which mowing surface, and their proper procedure for maintenance
• Ensure the day to day task assigned to them are completed to the standard set before them
• Demonstrate a professional behaviour in all manners at the workplace
